Having Problems Accessing UOnet?

How to reinstate your account if it's been shut down…

If you suddenly find you're unable to access your UO computing account via modem or wireless, or you can't access Blackboard, it's possible your account was disabled for security reasons (e.g., your computer may have been infected with a virus or worm). If your on-campus connection to UOnet no longer works, the problem could either be with a virus or with your physical Ethernet connection.

Off-campus connection problem: If you suspect you have a virus and your account has been disabled, contact Microcomputer Services (346-4412) to check on your account status and troubleshoot the problem. In most cases, your account can be reactivated within an hour. Microcomputer Services staff can also help restore your computer if it has crashed.

On-campus connection problem: If you can no longer access UOnet from your campus office and you have reason to suspect you may have a virus, contact Microcomputer Services for help. If you are sure you don't have a virus, your problem is most likely with your physical Ethernet connection and you'll need to contact Network Services (346-4395).
