Attendees of the
May 26 DepComp meeting in Lillis Hall listen intently to a
presentation by James Bean, Dean of the Lundquist College of
Business, regarding the role of IT in his department. In March,
the group meeting was hosted by the School of Architecture
and Allied Arts, where Dean Frances Bronet outlined her vision
for utilizing technology in the arts. |
Departmental Computing Support Staff Meetings Encourage Information
Exchange
Regularly scheduled events keep staff up-to-date on campus technical
needs and developments
The Departmental Computing (DeptComp) group meets
several times a year to discuss how best to support the UO's
technical needs, and also to share information about developments
in various sectors. These meetings are frequently hosted by different
departments on campus, giving support staff the opportunity to
learn firsthand about the role of developing technologies in UO
departments campuswide.
Membership is open to the campus community, and notices of meetings
as well as open discussions of technical issues are regularly posted
to the deptcomp mailing list.
If you provide IT support on campus and would like to subscribe
