Departmental Computing Support Staff Meetings Encourage Information Exchange

Regularly scheduled events keep staff up-to-date on campus technical needs and developments


The Departmental Computing (DeptComp) group meets several times a year to discuss how best to support the UO's technical needs, and also to share information about developments in various sectors. These meetings are frequently hosted by different departments on campus, giving support staff the opportunity to learn firsthand about the role of developing technologies in UO departments campuswide.

Membership is open to the campus community, and notices of meetings as well as open discussions of technical issues are regularly posted to the deptcomp mailing list.
