Web Server Administrators: Review Platform for Privacy Preferences Initiative (P3P)

University web server administrators who are interested in privacy issues may want to begin familiarizing themselves with the P3P initiative (see http://www.w3.org/P3P/), the World Wide Web Consortium's Platform for Privacy Preferences Project.

While the P3P specification is not yet completely finalized, its prospects are quite strong. P3P is quickly progressing and has already won the support of a wide variety of vendors and organizations. We encourage you to check out their website, and particularly to review their FAQ.
