McKenzie River Stations No Longer Multicast

After four years on the air, three McKenzie River stations (KKNU, KKXO, and KMGE) are no longer being broadcast on the MBONE due to changes in content licensing requirements. However, live streaming MP3 radio from the University of Oregon's own KWAX Classical radio station remains available to a dedicated audience of listeners throughout the U.S. and the world.

Operated by Computing Center network specialists, the MBONE, or Internet multicast backbone, transmits quality broadcast programming to desktop computers worldwide.
