Looking for a book on Excel, a copy of Tiger, or a Dreamweaver tutorial?
The Computing Center's Documents Room Library can help. It's stocked with books, magazines, and instructional CDs and videos on a wide range of popular computing subjects. The Documents Room is located on the ground floor of McKenzie Hall in Room 175, and it's open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can search its catalog 24 hours a day at http://docscatalog.uoregon.edu/
Books. The collection includes titles on computer security, hardware, programming languages, Microsoft Office and Adobe products, databases, networks, web design, and more. If you can't find a title that meets your needs, please let us know.
Magazines. Browse such popular titles as MacAddict, PC World, Wired, Mobile Computing, Photoshop User, and Dr. Dobbs Journal, among many others.
Site-Licensed Software. The Documents Room distributes site-licensed software for the UO community, including the Mac operating system, ESRI Geographical Information System, MathType, and SAS.
Training CDs and Videos. You can borrow a variety of VHS tapes and CD-ROMs that include several hours of instruction by skilled workshop presenters.
Books circulate for two weeks, videos and CD-ROMs for one week, magazines for two days, and software for 24 to 48 hours. Materials are renewable if no other user has requested them.
