More Training Options
In addition to the IT Curriculum workshops, there are two other training options available on campus: training videos and FITT Center training for faculty:
Workshops Available on Video. Looking for an alternative to the workshop format? The Computing Center Documents Room (175 Grayson Hall) has a growing collection of videos on using computers and computer software. You can use your UO picture ID to check out these videos. For a list of available titles and descriptions, visit http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~docsrm/video.html Call 346-4406 for more information.
FITT Center Training for Faculty. If you'd like to learn how to design course websites, improve classroom presentations, use multimedia tools, plus many other ways to effectively integrate technology into teaching, visit the FITT Center in Media Services Room 18 on the ground floor of the Knight Library.
The FITT Center staff offers personal consulting and training to any UO faculty member or GTF free of charge. You can use their multimedia workstations, software, and various digital cameras, scanners, recorders and printers. Just drop in during scheduled hours or you may also request a reservation for any time (including weekends) and they will try to arrange it.
For more information about their services, facilities and hours, call 346-1942 or visit http://libweb.uoregon.edu/fittc/.
