New Star Office Suite Available

Star Office, the feature-complete replacement for the Microsoft Office 97/98/2000 suite, was introduced to campus users on last year's Duckware CD-ROM.

While the UO's site license for Star Office 5.1 has expired, a new version (Star Office 5.2) is now available free from Sun Microsystems, and we have obtained a license to distribute it to UO-affiliated users.

Star Office 5.2 is available on the Windows version of the Fall 2000 Duckware CD, and copies of Star Office 5.2 for Windows and Linux are also available from the Computing Center Documents Room Library (175 Grayson Hall).
